Simply connect the charger to the battery, the VoltMatic microprocessor then automatically selects the appropriate charging voltage for a 6V battery, regardless of its condition, or for a 12V battery in good condition*, then proceeds to charge.

Universal 6V/12V 2.8A Optimate 5 Fast and Universal Battery Charger

*Manual override for 12V extra low voltage batteries is available. The charging current is adapted according to the size and condition of the connected battery. Leave the battery plugged in for an unattended maintenance charge for several months. OptiMate senses battery status and distributes charge as needed to maintain 100% battery.

CHARGING AMPERAGE: 4A (6V) / 2.8A (12V) (Ampmatic).
USE: indoors/outdoors (lowest temperature: -20°C).
RECOVERY: low voltage start from 1V + 2-stage desulphation recovery.
IDEAL FOR: 6V and 12V STD, AGM and GEL batteries from 8 to 120 Ah (up to 192 Ah for 6 V).
INPUT: Global (100-240V 50-60Hz), High Efficiency (CEC Certified), Hermetically Sealed.
STYLE: weatherproof housing with wall fixings, 180cm AC power cable and 180cm charging cable with SAE connector.
SAFETY: no risk of overloading. Completely safe for vehicle electronics. Suppression of sparks. Safe long battery life maintenance. Automatic shutdown in the event of a short circuit or if the battery is disconnected.
